Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Gregg Norrup worked though the 1980s and 1990s in a couple composite mill shops where he designed, fabricated and finish painted architectural parts for themed casinos including Luxor, Excalibur and MGM.
Gregg moved to Erie County, Ohio, in 1992 to raise his three children away from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas and to be near his family.
Once in Ohio, Gregg worked in a shop finishing wood fireplace surrounds and cultured stone waterfalls and landscape rocks.
Gregg started DETAIL ETC... PAINTING in 1994 with faux finishing and custom interior painting.
In 1996 he hired a talented crew and expanded his business to inlcude painting projects for new, high end construction homes, while still offering his custom and faux finishes and unique artistic touch to homes all over northern Ohio.
In 1999 Gregg began refinishing furniture and cabinets in his basement and, along with his crew, built a new workshop on his property in 2013. The workshop is equipped with a spraybooth and provides space for large furniture restoration and quick-turnaround cabinet refinishing.
